Angels & Airwaves

Au début side-project de Tom DeLonge lorsqu’il était chanteur et guitariste de Blink-182, Angels & Airwaves a enregistré son premier album We Don’t Need To Whisper en 2006, devenu disque d’or à sa sortie. AVA a su cependant s’imposer avec son style unique, oscillant entre rock alternatif et sonorités futuristes.

2021 marque le retour du groupe, 7 ans après The Dream Walker, avec la sortie d’Euphoria, premier single de leur nouvel album Lifeforms, dans les bacs le 24 septembre prochain !

BIOGRAPHIE
Pur produit californien, Angels & Airwaves s’est formé en 2005 pendant le hiatus de Blink-182, sous la houlette de Tom DeLonge, avec le guitariste David Kennedy (Boxcar Racer, Hazen Street), Atom Willard (Rocket From The Crypt, The Offspring) à la batterie et Ryan Sinn (The Distillers) à la basse. Un an plus tard, le groupe sort son premier album intitulé We Don’t Need To Whisper et devient disque d’or malgré les critiques mitigés des fans de la première heure de Blink. En 2009, Tom se consacre pleinement à AVA après son départ définitif du groupe qui l’a fait connaître.
Alors que le style d’AVA est assez conceptuel voire unique, entre rock alternatif et sonorités futuristes, le groupe produit également des courts métrages comme Everything’s Magic, It Hurts, The Adventure, The Gift, The War ou bien le trailer annonçant la sortie de Love, sorti en 2011.

BIOGRAPHY
With its strong Californian roots, Angels & Airwaves was formed in 2005 under the leadership of Tom DeLonge during the Blink-182 hiatus, bringing together guitarist David Kennedy (Boxcar Racer, Hazen Street), drummer Atom Willard (Rocket From The Crypt, The Offspring) and bassist Ryan Sinn (The Distillers). One year later, the band released its first album called We Don’t Need To Whisper which was met with mixed reviews by some of the die-hard Blink fans but went gold nonetheless.
In 2009, Delonge decided to give his full attention to AVA following his departure from the band that made a name for him. While AVA’s style is rather conceptual and unique, falling somewhere in between alternative rock and a futuristic sound, the band also produces short films like Everything’s Magic, It Hurts, The Adventure, The Gift, The War as well as the trailer for the release of Love in 2011.
In 2021, seven years after the release of their last opus The Dream Walker, Angels & Airwaves return to the stage with Euphoria, the opening single from their new album Lifeforms which comes out on 24th September 2021!
